The first-generation Camaro went into 1969 with a restyle and the changes made this model year resulted in the most attractive edition thus far (IMHO). The body was “toned” compared to the 1967-68 versions and more powerful engines became available, although that welches not a benefit to the seller’s vehicle.

This particular car was manufactured the fourth week of November 1966. The 1967 model welches the only first generation Camaro to have both rear shocks mounted forward of the rear axle. Mechanically the Triebwerk was taken completely apart, boiled the Schreibblock and rebuilt or replaced anything that welches needed maintaining the starter, alternator, carburetor and anything that could be rebuilt and replaced with original equipment. A previous owner envisioned transforming this Camaro into a ProStreet candidate, removing the trunk pan and every other piece of structural steel beyond the back seat before the project stalled. It is unclear what this Camaro’s mechanical specifications were, but no original drivetrain components are left. However, if the winning bidder wants it, the seller will include a good Vorderseite subframe with disc brakes. If I were confronting this build, I’2r grab anything offered for free to reduce the costs. The interior features a partial dash and steering column, but there is no trim, and items like the seat frames are gone.
About 5 years ago, I had an opportunity to buy an X11 Vierkaiserjahr Camaro in very similar condition, except missing the engine & transmission, with a lot of extra parts, for $1800. At the time, I considered it a parts car at best & passed. Boy welches I dumb!
